Welcome to Time Saving Tip Tuesday! Since I posted my favorite Banana Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe yesterday, I thought I would share my quick tip for getting room temperature butter. As a busy mom who has time to wait on butter coming to room temperature before baking. If I have a pocket of time to make cookies then I need my butter now! I can achieve quick room temperature butter using my Kitchen Aid mixer.
Just throw the cold butter into the mixer and turn it onto speed 10!
After 15 seconds the butter will look crumbled.
After 30 seconds the butter will be soft!
Then if my recipe calls for beating butter and sugar together, I just throw the sugar in and keep mixing. If I need softened butter for something else then, I just scrap it out of the bowl and use. The Kitchen Aid mixer is a great time saving tool when a recipe calls for room temperature butter.
Do you have any other butter tips?
