Happy Tuesday! This week I am starting a new series where I share one of my favorite quick tips. Hopefully, my tips will save you time during the day or make life a little easier – something that every mom needs!
Cook Once Eat Twice
As busy moms, we spend lots of time in the kitchen cooking or preparing meals for our family. Whenever I take the time to bake or cook a real meal, then I plan to double the recipe. For example, if I am making waffles for breakfast I make sure to cook some extra that I can throw in the freezer for another morning. Or if I am making meatballs for dinner, I roll out enough to freeze a batch for the next week too! This tip works for food prep too! If you are chopping lettuce for your lunch salad, then cut enough for tomorrow nights dinner as well.
If you are already making the effort, then why not make life easier by cooking once and eating twice.
You will only have one set of dirty dishes for two meals! Win!
You will always have something in the freezer to eat! Win again!
You have just earned yourself plenty of extra time to use on a busy day:)
Want to save even more time? Check out my recipe for waffle batter that you can make the night before. Now all you have to do is heat and serve!
