To me, Summer is all about relaxing, swimming, and sandals! I love shopping for new Summer sandals probably because I live in Florida, and it is sandal season year round. Shoes are a fashion statement in and of themselves, and during the Summer there are so many fabulous finds to choose from. As a busy mom, I have to face reality when it comes to shoe shopping. They need to be comfortable and affordable, but still totally cute!
Recently, I read a magazine article about trendy Summer Sandals for 2017, and I was floored by the fact that not one shoe listed was under $100! What!! Not sure what planet they live on, but in my world that is just not practical. Sure, I have some shoes from expensive designers, but those are my good shoes! Shoes that can be worn year in and year out and never go out of style. For example, black pumps, navy flats, or brown sandals.
If I buy an expensive shoe, then I need to feel comfortable in the fact that it will always be in fashion! Otherwise, sign me up for a bargain. I feel like trendy shoes, and clothes for that matter, should be affordable, especially because once the season is over I will probably never wear it again. Am I alone in this thought?? I feel like other moms will agree with me on this one:)
This recent article has inspired me to start a new series of posts here on my blog entitled Fantasy vs Reality. I feel like the majority of moms live in reality. We have mortgages, college savings accounts, and large grocery bills! No room for expensive, trendy Summer sandals. I realize some of you mommas are lucky enough to not have a budget, but for most of use that just isn’t real life. And let me just clarify, just because I can’t always afford $300 sandals, that doesn’t mean I don’t like to look:) I can still appreciate a beautiful shoe!
2017 Summer Trendy Sandals
No matter what your budget, I hope you found some Summer Sandals for the 2017 Season!
