Doesn’t everybody want to find a four leaf clover on St. Patrick’s Day? It is the ultimate sign of good luck! But finding one is very rare unless you know the perfect way to hunt for these special clovers.
How to find a 4-Leaf Clover
The kids and I watched this interesting video from Scientific America about how science can help you find a 4-Leaf Clover. As soon as it was over the boys ran outside to look in the yard.
I guess we are lucky to be in Florida, because it was easy to find clover patches throughout the neighborhood. If you happened to still have snow on the ground then your kids will have to hunt for four leaf clovers during the summer. But they are still lucky no matter when you find one, not only on St Patrick’s Day!
So after 30 minutes of combing the yard and that of my neighbor, the boys were discouraged and gave up. But I had a plan up my sleeve. If we couldn’t find a four leaf clover, then I was going to make one!
It was easy too. I just used a piece of packing tape and stuck a clover on top. I tore off a leaf from a different clover and applied the extra leaf in just the right position on the tape. Poof we made our own lucky charm! The boys were excited to receive my special 4-Leaf Clover.
Have you ever found one?
