For me every year, Summer Vacation feels shorter and shorter and the days goes by faster and faster. As the boys have grown older, I have learned to truly enjoy my time with the kids while they are home for the Summer. On our last trip, my husband and I were talking about our Summer Vacation bucket list and discussed some of the places we wanted to bring the boys. At that moment, I realized we have a total of 18 years with our children before they are grown. That means only 18 Summer Vacations! This thought brought tears to my eyes but made me realize that it is important to make the most of every minute we spend together.
Today, I am sharing my family’s bucket list of Summer Vacation Destinations. Some of them we have already done and some of them may be too expensive to accomplish, but we can all dream right! My list only includes places here in the United States. There is so much to see and do in our great country. I hope you will use my list as guide to planning your family’s next Summer Vacation.

We have already started chiping away at our Summer Vacation bucket list. I encourage you to make one with your family, and challenge yourself to get them all marked off the list before your kids are grown! For me, I have 9 more Summer Family Vacations until my oldest son is off to college. Sure we will still take trips together but it just won’t be the same as when they are young.
Check out the post I wrote about why I choose to be a “hands free” mamma on our family vacations!
I’d love to hear about your next Summer Vacation in the comments below.
